Maggy Swain is a film photographer and visual artist based in the Southeast, who creates vivid and immersive narratives that challenge conventional perspectives. Through her lens, she explores the nuances of the human experience through augmented realities to showcase how self identity, lived experience, and memory are both shaped and reshaped over time.

Maggy’s photographic work has been recognized as one of the top 5 Emerging Women Photographers to watch in MyTheresa: The Album in 2019. Her photographic work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions including Tennessee Gallery, Facet Gallery, Murmur Gallery, Mason Fine Art and Anne Irwin Fine Art. 

Maggy’s work has been featured in publications such as FEMME Mag, Tablet Mag, Flagpole, Jaw Breaker, MIM Zine, Sukeban UK, POND Mag, Le Sigh Artist Spotlight, and Wussy Mag.
